DUE TO WEATHER Conditions and the extended hazards from icy conditions after dark, The WYTHEVILLE Town Council meeting rescheduled for Monday, february 2, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. has been canceled. The next regular meeting of the Wytheville Town Council will be held on Monday, FEBRUARY 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Council Chambers.
Presidents Day Holiday
Due to the Presidents' Day holiday, the refuse collection in the Town of Wytheville for Monday, February 16, 2026, will be Held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. The normal collection scheduled for Tuesday, February 17, 2026, will be Held on that day.
The Town of Wytheville’s Recycling Center located at 1025 South Third Street will not have an attendant on duty Monday, February 16, 2026, due to the Presidents’ Day holiday. The attendant will return to assist citizens on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Please note that when an attendant is not on duty, the Recycling Center's gates are closed, and items cannot be dropped off.

The 2025 Personal Property and Real Estate tax tickets have been mailed and are due on March 5, 2026. Tax bills must be paid in full by this date to avoid penalty and interest charges.
Real Estate bills, if applicable, are coded for ESCROW/MORTGAGE companies. If your bill is coded to be paid by your escrow/mortgage company, please do not pay the bill. You receive a copy of the bill as a courtesy.
Please contact the Commissioner of the Revenue’s office at 276-223-6015 to have errors on the tax tickets resolved. The Commissioner of the Revenue’s office is responsible for the data on your bill(s) including the assessment, applicable tax and mailing address.
PAYMENT OPTIONS - In person, by mail, online at www.wytheville.org/online-payments, by phone, or by utilizing the drop box located at the front of the Municipal Building. Mailed payments postmarked no later than March 5, 2026, will be honored as on time payments and not charged penalty and interest.

Parks and Recreation Inclement Weather Policy
In the event of inclement weather the facility operating hours at the Wytheville Community Center may be modified to open at a later time or close early. If this were to occur all participants registered for programs or facility rentals will be notified as soon as possible.
Athletics participants will be notified through their coaches alerting if there is a change in game schedule, locations or cancellations. Coaches will typically post to their designated Band app groups in this event.
Afterschool Kidventures program participants and their parents will be notified as soon as possible if there are changes in hours of operations either due to a facility or school closure. Notifications will be sent through the designated Band app with these changes.
