Interim Town Manager
T-Ball Field Fence Replacement
The Town of Wytheville T-Ball Field fence will be replaced beginning Wednesday, July 2nd. We anticipate the work lasting for approximately 1 week. The T-Ball fields will be unavailable during this time.
Facility Closure
The Wytheville Community Center and McWane Pool will be closed on Friday, July 4th, for the holiday.
It is necessary to close McWane pool on the 4th of July holiday due to its proximity to the fireworks display set up.
Recreation Commission July Meeting
The regularly scheduled Recreation Commission meeting on July 9th, 2025 has been cancelled.
WYTHEVILLE RECREATION COMMISSION VACANCY
The Town Council is currently taking applications for a vacancy on the Wytheville Recreation Commission. Applications must be completed on the Town website on the OpenGov portal at https://wythevilleva.viewpointcloud.com/. All applicants must complete a background check form that is available at https://www.wytheville.org/docs/general/071922-Town-Committee-Board-Packet-and-Background-Release-Forms.pdf. The due date for all applications is Monday, July 7, 2025.

NEWS RELEASE
Due to the Independence Day holiday, the refuse collection in the Town of Wytheville for Friday, July 4, 2025, will be made on Monday, July 7, 2025. The normal collection scheduled for Monday, July 7, 2025, will be made on that day.
The Town of Wytheville’s Recycling Center located at 1025 South Third Street will not have an attendant on duty beginning Friday, July 4, 2025, through Sunday, July 6, 2025, due to the Independence Day holiday. The attendant will return to assist citizens on Monday, July 7, 2025. Please note that when an attendant is not on duty, the Recycling Center's gates are closed, and items cannot be dropped off.
