Temporary Water Disruption vicinity of Sherwood Forest Road and Fairway Lane

On November 19, 2025, at 8:30 a.m., Town of Wytheville citizens in the vicinity of Sherwood Forest Road and Fairway Lane will experience a temporary water disruption while crews repair a water line at this intersection. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Residents located in the surrounding area should expect to be affected by this interruption in service. Drivers are advised to use alternate routes and to use caution when traveling in the area where crews are working.

The Town apologizes for the inconvenience and appreciates the cooperation and understanding of our citizens as repairs are completed. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the refuse collection in the Town of Wytheville for Thursday, November 27 and Friday, November 28 , 2025, will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025. The normal collection scheduled for Monday, December 1, 2025, will be held on that day. 

The Town of Wytheville’s Recycling Center located at 1025 South Third Street will not have an attendant on duty Thursday, November 27, 2025, or Friday, November 28, 2025, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The attendant will return to assist citizens on Monday, December 1, 2025. Please note that when an attendant is not on duty, the Recycling Center's gates are closed, and items cannot be dropped off.
